It all Flashes By before you know it

Updated: May 25, 2024

In my last update i was 1 month away from our wedding... Well its safe to say we are certainly past that.

I don't even know where to begin with describing the day and i wish i could show you so all the photos but unfortunately our photographer still hasn't sent us the images yet.

I think i'll start with the night before.

So, i went up there to start setting up and placing out name cards as the name decorations we had were delicate. They were these beautiful cards that i made through Vistaprint, with a clothing pin at the bottom for the stand and a piece of dried gypsophila, also known as baby's-breath.

They were beautiful!

The design across the whole board was absolutely breath taking, even to the point that the wedding organiser complimented us on having the best designed wedding they had ever seen.

I was surprisingly not nervous but more so prepared and ready. I felt like i had been with this guy for years when really it had only been 3.

I had a lovely evening laughing and dancing in the hotel room, putting my veil on one more time before the big day and running around as if i were superman. It was rather wise of my bridesmaid to tell me to put it away as i was close to ripping it.

We were up early the next morning and out for a lovely morning walk around the grounds. Again, still no nerves, just enjoying every minute of being around my closest friends.

Hair and make up prep started around 6am and didn't finish till 12pm. Everyone looked stunning, a very light and elegant make up style to suit the cream décor and hints of emerald green around the room.

It was soon time to get into my dress and have the big dad reveal moment. This was probably one of the biggest highlights of the day. I was not expecting the reaction they gave. The one thing i will always remember is my dad tearing up, whilst nodding and saying 'That'll do it' before opening his arms to give me the warmest dad hug going.

Before i knew it, i was standing in the corridor ready to walk down that aisle.

'Beethoven's 5 Secrets' started to play and i began counting down the bridesmaids. Then the beat dropped and it was my time. One step in front of the other, clutching onto my dads arm.

No one could distract me from seeing the love of my life at the end of the aisle. Everyone else was non existent. It was like a blur... Everything in that one moment just felt right and i couldn't stop smiling, mixed with a few happy tears.

The vows were said and rings were exchanged. Before we knew it, we were officially married.

The rest of the day continued in bliss and i was so happy to have my family and friends around me. The night ended with everyone on the dance floor, jumping and singing to Mr Brightside. The ladies singing and the lads with their ties around their heads.

The day was everything i could have asked for and more. I married my best friend and soul mate.

Onward and upwards to the next however many years of marriage.... First, lets go on our honeymoon to Instow, UK.

Love Always.

Libby x

I know, I know... I'm really bad at keeping up my posts. Truth be told, I was taking a long break from all things gaming social as life...
